Get an IDX Feed for Your Website

What is an IDX and how does it work?

By definition, an IDX (Internet Data Exchange) is a way of getting MLS listings on your website. Also known as Broker Reciprocity, an IDX follows the rules and methods that allow MLS listing to appear on other third party sites. Chances are, when you see properties on a company website, those listings came from an MLS using IDX.

Why get IDX?

By adding an IDX feed to your website you could potentially help expand your business by making your business seem larger. By giving your customers and potential clients the opportunity to browse listings statewide, you can make your office appear as a statewide brokerage.

Why should I put my listings into the MLS IDX?

By placing listings into the IDX, you are giving each one more potential exposure. In addition to your listing appearing through the MLS, Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, and 40+ other sites, the IDX will allow your listings to be seen by the clients of other MLS members receiving the IDX feed for their website. This will allow your listing to be seen by more potential buyers.

How do I get my listings into the IDX?

When creating a listing, you will be asked if you want it sent to the IDX. Simply select 'yes' in the drop down menu and your listing will automatically be put into the IDX database and sent to participating member websites.
